A few years ago, my sons and I skied Squaw Valley and visited the Slant Skis factory. Josh Bennett, the company founder, gave us a tour and we learned a lot about how skis are designed and built.
And while I had every intention of writing about this experience, I never did (sorry Josh).
So today, I’m breaking one of my rules. I’m sharing a Kickstarter project with you all. I usually won’t do this, because usually I have no experience or familiarity with the company or product.
Today is different.
I have a lot of admiration for Josh and Slant Skis. I also really like this video, which clearly explains much of the ski and snowboard design and manufacturing process.
I hope you’ll watch it. Not only does it show how skis are built, but the video explains Slant Ski’s commitment to homegrown manufacturing and US sourcing. It’s really interesting.
And if you’re interested, here’s the link to the Slant Ski’s Kickstarter. It’s an “all or nothing” campaign to raise $20K for update equipment and a larger facility.
Please join me in helping support “made in the USA” skis and snowboards.
Thanks!
