Goodnight Chairlift: A Bedtime Story Book (Giveaway)

February 22, 2022 by braveskimom

I am so very excited to give away these two books! Goodnight Chairlift is guaranteed to become a family favorite bedtime story. And the PSIA Activity Book is chock-full o’ fun, and hard to find outside of ski and ride schools at resorts. ©braveskimom.com

Good morning! I am excitedly sharing a wonderful children’s bedtime story book with you today. Goodnight Chairlift, is the second collaboration between Olympic skier Libby Ludlow and award-winning illustrator/children’s ski instructor Nathan Y Jarvis. Actually, both Ludlow and Jarvis are award winners — for their first book, A-B-Skis!

Goodnight Chairlift is written for young skiers and snowboarders, especially those who don’t want to come off the hill at the end of the day, or those who can’t wait to get back out onto the snow tomorrow. The lightly rhymed text looks back on a great family ski day, while saying goodnight, in turn, to the chairlift, the terrain park, ski trails in the trees, the ski patrol, the snowcats, and finally, the little ripper to whom this book is being read.

Highlighted words within the text are skiing and snowboard terms and are defined in a child-friendly glossary at the end (keeping us parents in the know and making us look so much smarter!). The colorful and humorous illustrations include a “silly search” with numerous hidden objects, like a hummingbird and a pickle, for children to find when paging through the book with a parent or by themselves.

Available on Amazon, the first edition of Goodnight Chairlift sold out quickly. And while specific to winter sports, Goodnight Chairlift is certain to become one of your child’s favorites — and yours, too.

No spoilers here, just a sample page from this fun, beautiful book, Goodnight Chairlift.

Goodnight Chairlift Giveaway

One of the delights of parenting young children is reading aloud together. In that spirit, I am thrilled to offer one copy of Goodnight Chairlift as a giveaway. We’re pairing this beautiful book with Nathan Y Jarvis’ PSIA-endorsed Kids’ Activity Book, that is chock-full of games, trading cards, skiing and snowboarding tips, and coloring pages. Not generally available to the public, outside of ski and snowboard schools at resorts, I’m especially happy to share these two books with a lucky winner.

And we’ve got a runner-up prize too: an additional copy of the Kids’ Activity Book.

Good luck!

That is cool! Both my adult children ski with me, nd have since they were each 5, and now I have a tiny grandson that I can’t wait to add to the skiing family tree. I have the AB Ski book, and even a 4 pack of Snow Monsters movies from when my kids were little (gotta love those snow snakes!). I would love to add more to my skiing repertoire. Thanks!
