While a few of you very, very lucky people out there are still alpine skiing, it’s fair to say that late spring is upon us and snow is m-e-l-t-i-n-g! Warmer weather is here, and it’s time to get ready for summer. Today, Gear Notes is featuring a well-priced Mips Bike Helmet from Outdoor Master, along with sport sunglasses, SUPS, and some fun duffel bags (and other goods) that you can personalize to match your favorite activity, be it skiing, biking, yoga, or even drinking coffee!

Outdoor Master Gem Bike Helmet with Mips

Like ski helmets, bike helmets need to be replaced every few years. As the helmet materials age, the effectiveness of the helmet decreases. They also need to be replaced after an accident when you bang your head (let’s try not to do that, okay?).

The Gem Bike Helmet from Outdoor Master is a $60 helmet with Mips protection that checks all the boxes. Available in 10 colors and two sizes (M and L), it has an adjustable liner, dialed adjustable sizing, a removable visor, and yes, Mips. Mips is a frictional layer within the helmet that absorbs impact and allows for 10-15 mm of movement upon impact to reduce blunt force to the head. It’s the gold standard in ski helmets, and it’s available for cyclists, too.

And if you’re in the market for new protective, polarized sunglasses to go with your bike helmet, Outdoor Master has you covered with a full range of polarized glasses at just $24.99. If you want something a bit more specialized or with more coverage, check out their Hawk line with polarized and photo chromatic (light-changing) options.

Less Work, More Skiing

Looking for a fun gift for someone? A travel-ready duffel bag? A tote? A coffee tumbler? A t-shirt? Items that express your passion for something other than work? Look no farther than the extensive range of goodies from LessWork.com.

Choose your favorite activity, your favorite state, your favorite city, your favorite national park, or your favorite way to achieve work-life balance. Then choose your product.

The three products I received for review are 1) a Less Work, More Colorado duffel (so very, very handy!), a Less Work, More St. Anton tote bag (I can dream about skiing in Austria during the coming ski season, right?) and a Less Work, More Powder tumbler (because I HATE to use disposable cups, so I need a tumbler in my car). And these three items are just a tiny fraction of the goods and themes and colors available. Set aside 15 minutes just to explore their website, whether you’re shopping for yourself, or a friend.

Great Value SUPs & Coupon Codes

We haven’t done much — yet — to enter the world of SUPs, but this summer, we’re excited to try our new inflatable stand up paddle board that my kind husband purchased me for Mother’s Day. We’ve got lakes, we’ve got rivers, and we have experienced SUP-friends, so we’re gonna have fun. My husband scored a coupon code to use at Outdoor Master, and they’ve provided me with additional codes to share. Prices for SUPs at Outdoor Master range between $499 and $599 and they also sell inflatable pumps (along with lots of other outdoor goods, at great prices).

Outdoor Master Coupon Codes

Buy a Shark II PUMP and save $34 with code: “SALE34”

Buy one SUP and get a FREE Shark Air Pump with code: “OMSUP2022”

All-Purpose Outdoor Master Coupon Code: KRISTEN15

And with that, it’s time to get out and enjoy summer!
