Venture to SHE VENTURES (Event Ticket Giveaway)

September 15, 2016 by braveskimom

she ventures

brave ski mom logoJen Gurecki, the founder of Coalition Snow, a women’s ski and snowboard company, is one of my favorite people whom I’ve never met.

She is an entrepreneur, backcountry adventurer and all-around nice person. She’s got her fingers in all the pies I wish I could enjoy (if only I had time!).

So when she suggested we coordinate to give away pairs of tickets to five upcoming SHE VENTURES events, I said, of course, let’s do it!

Why SHE VENTURES?

Here is some background information provided by Jen and Georgina Miranda, the founder of Altitude Seven and SHE VENTURES.

The face of outdoor adventure is changing.

Women make up almost 50 percent of outdoor participation and are leading the way in terms of solo and adventure travel. Women want to connect with other women who share their passion for adventures, the outdoors and travel.

Until now, there hasn’t been a forum to bring together female adventurers, business leaders and company founders in the adventure travel space.

After a successful pilot event in San Francisco in June, SHE VENTURES will be making waves in Vancouver BC, Seattle, Portland, New York City, and Boulder during September and October.

These one-night events are produced by Altitude Seven in collaboration with local female leaders who support women in their passionate pursuit of the outdoors.

she ventures 2What to Expect

  • Inspirational and informative talks that encourage adventure-filled living;
  • Authentic connections with other women who share a personal and professional passion for the outdoors;
  • Snacks, drinks, and more
  • Raffle of amazing products offered by our sponsors, benefiting a non-profit partner.

As Altitude Seven founder, Georgina Miranda, puts it, “Adventure has the power to changes lives. There is beauty in our strength, our courage, and our willingness to dare as women. We have a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and encourage adventure as a way of life. We are changing the face of adventure one city at a time.”

    Would love tickets for the Boulder event! Currently exploring opportunities to write freelance about mountain sports. This sounds like an awesome networking opportunity – & there should be some ride-able terrain out there by then! Cheers 🙂

      My thoughts exactly….Both A Basin and Loveland should have some terrain open!

    It would be a privilege to network
    with other women interested in empowering other women. My company is Andie’s Undies LLC , Andie’s Undies is a paradigm shift in how a women’s base layer is made. I make a better fitting, more comfortable base layer that performs to meet a women’s needs.

      Thanks Andra! FYI readers, I’ll be reviewing Andie’s Undies in just a couple of weeks! And when Andra says “women’s needs” she referring to a clever system of panels that let you “go” without stripping down. Yep. Freedom.
