The school year is coming to a close and the long hot days of summer are on the horizon. Recently, I found this post that I had written in 2009, but never published. In honor of the end of school and with a hearty thank you to the teachers that have made such a difference in my children’s lives, I share this bit of third-grade writing with you.
One of the best things about a Brave Ski Mom is having Brave Ski Children. Brave Ski Children produce wonderful skiing-related school work. Here are two of my favorites, written by our younger son when he was in 3rd grade.
On Saturday I like to go skiing. It is very fun and exciting. It is also fun to participate in a race. You can meet new people and make friends. It is very fun and I would recommend it to anyone.
If I went on an adventure, I would go to the North Pole. I would go there because I like snow and polar bears. I could also sled and ski off snowdrifts. I would have lots of fun there. I would also go boating on an iceberg. I would take lots of pictures and maybe build a summer home. I would also write a book about my adventure. I would also paint pictures of things I can see from my house. I would also make a special car that has wheels and skis. This is why I would go to the North Pole.
I would love to publish your Brave Ski Childrens’ work at Brave Ski Mom. If you have something you’d like to share, please let me know. Thank you.
