What to Pack in Your Ski Bag, Tips from 10 Freeskiers

brave ski mom logoWhat do you pack in your ski bag? How do you pack for a ski trip?

These are good questions, because aside from the ordinary stuff that everyone carries, like ski boots and helmets, each of us probably has something quirky or unique that we throw in.

In March, I received a three question survey from MightyGoods, a review website for bags of all sorts.

Here are the questions they asked:

1) What top 3 things do you bring besides the common stuff everybody brings?

2) How do you bring things with you?

3) What are your top tips for other freeskiers?

MightyGoods asked 10 skiers these questions. Here are the answers from Dave Searle, Ingrid Backstrom, Chris Anthony, Michelle Parker, Nick Draper, Guy Coles, Andrew McLean, Greg Hill, Nikolai Samson and me.

The responses are intriguing and helpful, as each skier comes from a different background, including ski mountaineers, professional skiers and , yes, a mostly resort-based ski mom who travels a lot (and has packed a lot of ski bags).

In this post — 10 Freeskiers Share How They Pack Their Skiing Bags — you’ll find it all, from recipes to running shoes, lacrosse balls to french press coffee makers. Plus, excellent tips for packing light and packing smart.

You just may want to take notes, or bookmark the post for next winter.

Enjoy!
