What the Cool Kids are Wearing: Youth Ski Styles for 2013-2014

October 7, 2013 by braveskimom

Burton Girls Venture Jacket in Clockwork

braveskimom logoAs the mother of boys, I know that kids sometimes don’t really care how they look.

But then again, they do. And when it comes to skiing and riding, we all want to look cool.

This season, look for bright colors and creative styling, especially for juniors, with lots of diagonal highlights and fun prints.

Also look for features that maximize your value. Most Spyder, Obermeyer, Burton, Sunice, and 686 jackets offer a feature that extends the jacket sleeves out an extra 1.5”-2”. This means that the jackets can grow with your child and be worn an extra season or two!

Thanks so much to WinterKids.com for providing these highlights from their little kids and junior lines for Winter 2013-2014.

You can find these styles, and many more, at WinterKids.com.

And moms? Don’t feel left out. Go here for a ski fashion preview and giveaway  featuring the best styles from Spyder, Obermeyer, Burton L.A.M.B. and more!

Little Boys:

Get Spyder’s premium quality in extra bright colors for your little guy with the Mini Armageddon Jacket.  Whether he’s skiing, sledding, or just playing out in the snow, this jacket will keep him cozy and comfy the entire time he’s outside.

This jacket includes the Small to Tall Grow Feature, which allows the sleeves extend an extra 1.5″. That means he can wear this jacket at least two seasons in a row!

Obermeyer Boys Slopestyle Jacket in True Red

The Slopestyle Jacket is all about exactly that: style. The varsity jacket design is extra cute, and the jacket insulation will keep him warm and cozy.

Cute and cozy: precisely the two things you want your little guy to be when he’s out in the snow.

The I-Grow Sleeve Cuffs add 1.5” of sleeve length, which makes this the perfect winter jacket for growing boys!

Little Girls:

Sunice Girls Little Naquita Technical Jacket in Yellow/Pink

This adorable jacket for little girls will be a huge hit on the slopes this winter. Bright and fun, this eye-popping jacket will keep your little one warm and cozy.  Best of all, mom and dad will find her easy to spot ripping down the mountain.

Sunice’s Grow With Me system allows for an additional 1.5” in length and at least one additional year of snowy fun for this cute piece!

I-Grow Sleeve Cuffs add 1.5” of sleeve length, so she’ll get to show off this jacket not one, but at least two years.

Junior Boys:

Junior boys and teens can’t ignore the fun this jacket brings to the mountain.
