If you’re like most of us, you have a shocking amount of money invested in your ski gear and ski clothing. While we don’t suggest tallying up the costs (it really can be shocking), we do suggest taking good care of your gear and clothing in the off-season.
Today, I’m sharing links (see below) to our most popular posts on summer ski/board waxing and storage, as well as a link to a recent post on cleaning your ski clothing from TheSkiDiva.com.
I honestly thought I had the tech-wash routine dialed in, but this post taught me a lot.
I hope you find it useful, too.
And now, I’m off to do laundry: one good wash, three solid rinses and DWR reapplication. For all the dirty details, read on!

On the last day of the hill being open, we took his skis into the repair shop for their summer wax. We’ll take them back in just before Christmas for their winter tune-up (unless the kiddo gets picked for the ski team and goes for pre-season training). Coats and pants are done… all that’s left are the mitts, hats and the revolting balaclavas. If they didn’t cost so much, I’d burn them at the end of each season…

I hear you! But, that would be wasteful. Maybe he should do the washing of the revolting balaclavas! Good luck re: ski team!
