We are so very excited to share the first of many “best day ever on snow!” stories submitted to us this summer.
As you may recall, Braveskimom is partnering with Nathan Y Jarvis (Smartful Kids) to create a book sharing stories from young skiers and snowboarders.
And while we had hoped to have this book ready to go in October, delays happen and now we’re aiming for a pre-Christmas release for the ebook.
Today, sisters who ski at Snowshoe Mountain, West Virginia, share two sides of this same fantastic ski day!

My favorite day skiing was at Snowshoe Mountain. I played with Barbies and I went skiing and it was a graceful beauty.
I learned to ski without help from my Daddy, and I whipped him with my ski straps that I no longer needed. Everyone laughed.
At the top of the mountain we ate sugar coated chocolate waffles, and the warm chocolate froze on my face. Mommy had to scrub my face clean. After we were done skiing, I slid down a pile of snow with my sister Abby. I think next year I will ski better than my slow poke Mommy.

My favorite day skiing was the same day as my sis, Millie. You’ve heard her side, now here’s mine!
At first I skied with my Mom, Dad, and Millie.When we all ski together, we ski the easier stuff like green circles and blue squares, and that’s just what we did.
When Millie had enough, we slid down a hump of snow and had a waffle. It was so good!
Then my Dad and I skied the harder (more fun) stuff like blacks and double blacks. At the end of the day my mom made burgers and we had a family movie night with popcorn too!
