By Alex S, Eleven Years Old, Eldora Mountain Resort, Colorado
While Alex’s best day ever involves skiing in Utah, his home mountain is Eldora Mountain near Boulder, Colorado.
My best ski day was at Alta, Utah. The moment I woke up, I was excited for the day’s powder. A few moments later it felt like we were on the slope enjoying waist deep powder. I jumped a couple cliffs and fell a lot that hour.
A couple minutes later, when we were at the chair lift we all had a funny conversation about our ski fall from that run.
After enjoying a nice day of skiing we headed back to our warm hotel for the night.
Alex’s Best Ski Tip for Kids
Just keep trying. — Alex S.
Alex’s Favorite Thing About Skiing
Skiing with my friends. — Alex S.
Alex is definitely not alone here. Lots of kids love skiing with their friends. If you have a child who is not so motivated to ski, one of our best tips ever is to bring a friend along. Skiing with friends can lighten the mood and turn ski time into playtime.
And we all know, we learn better and faster, when we’re having fun!
As for Alex’s tip, “Just keep trying,” that’s good advice for all of us, every day of our lives.
Thanks Alex!
We are so excited to announce that we’re accepting submissions now for next year’s Best Day Ever on Snow! kids anthology! Please reach out if you have any questions.
