Skiing With Friends Creates a Best Day Ever On Snow!

February 2, 2021 by braveskimom

By Gracie S, 8 Years Old, Sundance Mountain Resort, Utah

“My best day ever skiing was when I went with my mom and my friend Zoe. We skied Outlaw, Stampede and Maverick. I liked skiing with Zoe because I like that she is my friend. We skied so fast!”

Gracie’s Best Ski Tip For Kids

Don’t fall. Don’t slip. And don’t go too fast. — Gracie S.

Gracie covers a lot in her best ski tip, but what’s most important is staying safe while having fun! While falls sometimes happen, skiing too fast or out of control makes them more likely.

If you haven’t reviewed The Code (aka the skier and snowboarder responsibility code) with your kids recently, take some time for a refresh and to talk it over!

Ski safety is everyone’s responsibility and top priority!

Enjoy!

If you haven’t yet, download our free ebook, Kids’ Best Day Ever on Snow! for more kid-told stories and tips, all highlighted by Nathan’s amazing illustrations.

Before we arrived in @redrivernm, I’d been told Before we arrived in @redrivernm, I’d been told that the town and ski area are reminiscent of Telluride. It is true, the mountain rises steep and rugged above this old mining town. The scope and size of the resorts are different, as are the overall atmosphere and value. Red River offers outstanding New Mexico skiing. It is so fun! #localvibe #newmexicotrue #skinewmexico #redrivernm #ferastyle (and please note I’m carrying my own Covid-safe H2O) #stayhydrated
