Today’s post is for readers with young kids. I recognize that many Brave Ski Mom readers have families with preschool age kids, toddlers and babies; and I appreciate each one of you so much! So today, I salute you parents of little ones in two ways.

“What to Expect” Giveaway
Secondly, I’ve got a giveaway today for parents of young children: your choice of any one of the 18 titles now published by “What to Expect.” These range from books to help you navigate the toddler years, to a babysitter’s handbook, to a series of books just for kids. The kids’ books are narrated by Angus the Answer Dog and can help your child understand what to expect on a playdate, at bedtime, preschool and more. For a complete list of “What to Expect” titles, click here.
To enter this giveaway, simply leave a comment. For an additional entry, like “What to Expect” on Facebook, or follow them on Twitter (and let me know). One winner will be chosen in a random drawing on Tuesday, June 12 at 8:00 MDT.
Expert Advice
Before our first son was born, a friend gave me a new copy of “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.” We used it a lot and, like many expectant parents, we soaked in as much advice as we could. So, when the “What To Expect” team contacted me in the spring about doing a giveaway, I couldn’t pass it up. Yes, the connection to skiing is only tenuous, but ski moms and dads are first, and foremost, moms and dads. And let’s face it, we can all use expert advice.
While I truly enjoy sharing my opinions and advice from the world of family skiing, parenting advice for young children is not one of my fortes. Still, when your kids get older, I’m here for you with step-by-step instructions on how you can ruin your teenager’s life, just by caring about him. My method is proven. And it works.
Cheers!
To facilitate this post and giveaway, I was compensated and one reader will receive the “What to Expect” book of her or his choosing. As always, all opinions are my own and are exactly what I would tell my family and friends.
This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to Amelia!

I never knew about the kids series…. those look great. We’re in the middle of potty training so I think that one has to be first to get.

That sounds like a good plan! Good luck!
