Tree skiing is fun and sort of magical. When you enter a glade, you enter a different world where the light is diffuse and the sounds of the outside resort begin to fade away. You get to play on nature’s slalom course, and often, you find really good snow.
Like many people, I toyed around in the trees for many years, following my sons along “game trails” and down rabbit holes. The more I followed them (ducking my “great” adult height to fit under branches that they simply skied by), the more I enjoyed making turns in the forest.
I didn’t start with much confidence. But with practice and these three tips for tree skiing, I’ve learned how to ski trees and I really enjoy it!
I hope you do, too!
Enjoy!
