brave ski mom logoHey, ski moms, if you follow ski fashion for yourself, you’re going to love today’s post on ski fashion for children.

I mean, really? Is there anything cuter than a bunch of kids all bundled up in bright puffy jackets and slippery pants?

winterkids.com logoFor this ski season’s fashion preview, I turned to U.S.-based WinterKids.com and to SimplyPiste.com, a British online retailer. Many thanks to both of them for sharing their insights, and photos, of the hottest new looks for very cool kids.

skboot logoBig thanks also to Skboot for sponsoring a helmet cover design contest for kids! If your child, age 3-11, designs the winner cover, he or she will win a helmet cover, and YOU (dear parent) will win a SkBoot rolling ski boot bag and helmet cover! For all details, please see below.

U.S. Styles – Little Boys

Spyder Mini Challenger Jacket in Red/Black/White: This warm jacket offers many features to help keep your little guy warm and dry on the mountain or sledding in the neighborhood. The Small to Tall Grow Feature allows the sleeves of this jacket to extend an extra inch and a half, so that your son can get two seasons out of this jacket. He’ll have the coolest outfit in ski school! Sizes 3-7.

Cool features include an inside goodie pocket (for snacks!) and a working compass on the front of the jacket. The I-Grow Sleeve Cuffs extends the sleeves an extra inch and a half, so this jacket should last, at least, two seasons. Sizes 3-8.

And to Top it All Off: Introducing Skbob and Skbella

Caroline Graham, the creator the SkBoot ski boot bag, launches a line of practical, and stylish, kids’ accessories this winter. Her first product?  The SkBob and SkBella Neoprene Helmet Gloves for kids. This is a helmet cover for kids made of 3mm, waterproof neoprene. This one-size cover fits over most helmets, adding extra warmth, waterproofing and style. Best of all, the helmet glove has a ticket pocket.

Caroline volunteers at Park City Mountain Resort and time and again has seen kids struggling to get through the RF scanners.

“I realized that children often found it difficult to get through the automatic lift gates, because their passes were located too low in proximity to the scanners. The ‘ticket pocket’ eliminates this issue,” she explains.

These are some really stylish Girls Winter Clothes. I just bought a new winter coat, as well as some ski pants and a few other warm pieces for my six year old who wants to try skiing this year. I got everything at Burlington Coat Factory and I saved $200 on what they all would cost elsewhere. It was a great deal.

Great tips Sami! I, too, love a bargain and try to shop sales as much as possible. We don’t have a Burlington Coat Factory anywhere nearby, so I am actually unfamiliar with that store. Anyone else have tips on finding good deals on kids’ ski clothes?

      Thanks!
