Night Skiing is the Cherry On Top of the Best Day Ever on Snow!

December 22, 2020 by braveskimom

By Kiley H, 4th Grade, Eight Years Old, Shawnee Peak, Maine

I went night skiing with my brothers. I got to wear clear night goggles.

It is the best to ski in the trees and under the lights. It feels like you are skiing free. I went really fast but then also slow to practice quick turns.

The best part is carving on the edge of my skis. I always think about spilling paint out of the side of my boots. The snow felt so good sliding on, that I started to sing out loud.

Then on to après ski and the best shirley temple with extra cherries!

I love the feel of flying down the hill and using my edges to carve into the snow. — Kiley H.

Kiley’s Best Ski Tip for Kids

Have fun and relax. Skiing gets more fun the better you get. Take a lesson if you want to get better. –Kiley H.

Kiley is one smart girl! And she’s right. Skiing is more fun the better you get. That’s why we believe no one is every too good for ski lessons.

I love this article from Kiley. Even though I am a lot older than 8 years old, I feel the same way skiing at night in the trees. 🙂

Yay! It’s fun to see things through kids’ eyes and recognize that although we may be “boring adults,” we still can recognize winter magic!
