Molo Mitzy Mittens in Rainbow (Giveaway, too)
BEST FOR: Fashionable toddlers up to age 5, boys and girls. In addition to the rainbow print, the mittens also come in solid colors, including a very masculine black. Good for playing in snow and skiing!
WHAT THEY ARE: I’m pretty sure these are the cutest mittens ever. Part of the Molo line of skiwear for children, these rainbow Neapolitan striped mittens also coordinate (maybe too well) with a one-piece baby snow suit that is adorned with stars on the shoulders.
FEATURES I LOVE: As you might expect from a Danish company, these mittens are warm and cozy. Lined with a thick, super soft Thermo Lite fleece, the exterior fabric is waterproof and the seams are taped to keep moisture out.
I tend to be skeptical of “fashion” ski wear, so I put these mittens under the faucet. Sure enough, the water beaded right up. When I dumped the water off, the exterior of the mittens was dry within seconds. (Since I’m giving them away, I didn’t have them field-tested. But if you win them, I’d love some feedback on their warmth!)
If I had to rank these mittens in terms of technical performance, they are among the most waterproof baby/toddler mitts I’ve found.
A BIT MORE INFO: Molo specializes in higher-end children’s clothing. Although they make skiwear for kids, they also offer a full line of Scandinavian inspired play clothes, school clothes and more.
HOW TO GET THEM: I found these mittens online at UK retailer Alex and Alexa. If you love fashion for kids, ski or otherwise, you have to check out this site. These mittens, which are currently only available in black, are $40.00.
Alex and Alexa carries designer and high-end children’s clothing, with lots of style. Even if you’re not in the market for anything, it’s so fun to look. Their skiwear is not yet all on sale, so it’s worth checking in from time to time this spring.
Alex and Alexa has a site for the US with prices in dollars and shipping is free to the U.S. for all orders over $95. Standard shipping is $5.00 and takes 5-10 days. And if you think their clothes have style, wait ‘til you see their gift boxes. I wasn’t sure I wanted to mess mine up by opening it!
GIVEAWAY: As much as I’d love to keep these for someone special, I’m going to give them away (you readers are special too!). Size 3-5 years, rainbow Molo mittens with silver stars! Does it get any better than this?
To enter, please leave a comment below AND follow the Brave Ski Mom on Facebook, Google+, Pinterest or Twitter (and let me know you did). One winner will be chosen randomly from all eligible entries on Thursday, February 28th. Open to U.S. residents only.
Good luck!
To facilitate this reviews, I received one pair of Molo mittens from Alex and Alexa (which I am giving away). As always, all opinions are my own and are exactly what I would tell my family and friends.

So cute! I wish I could shrink my boys so they could wear them. (Of course, they have no interest in being shrunken…so that won’t work!) Good luck!
