Way back in early April, I met a friend at a little café at a crossroads near several hiking, biking and climbing trailheads. Aptly called Trailhead Coffee, it’s always full of people headed outdoorsfor fun, or just coming back in, flush with endorphins and ready to chat.
My arm was freshly broken, in an immobilizer. It attracted a lot of attention, including the attention of one John Winn, who promptly introduced himself.
A musician and skier for most of his 81 years, John had stories of his own busted arms and shoulders. He also had stories from his years as a ski instructor and devotee of winter sports.
Seeing that I could use a diversion, he suggested I check out his musical Skiing Trilogy. I did. And today, with his permission, I’m sharing it with you.
If you have a moment on an early morning, or hot afternoon this summer, take a short break and enjoy John’s homage to skiing, and the perfect telemark turn.
Enjoy!
