An update of this post, for Winter 2013 – 2014, posted on October 10th!

So, once again this season, I’ve teamed up with WinterWomen.com to share the latest trends in ski and snowboard fashion for this upcoming winter!
Big thanks to WinterWomen.com for sharing their insights into the hottest looks on snow. All photos courtesy WinterWomen.com.

WinterWomen.com Giveaway
WinterWomen.com has graciously donated a “Winner’s Choice” giveaway for this post. Leave a comment below (it would be great if you have feedback on any of this season’s styles!) and if your name is chosen in a random drawing, you will win your choice of a Snow Angel Plum Veluxe Turtleneck (size medium) or Wonder Women Snowboard Socks from Burton.
While I haven’t tried the Wonder Women socks (but don’t you love the name?), I have a Snow Angel Turtleneck.
It’s buttery smooth and soft. Made of a cozy blend of 88% micropoly and 12% spandex, it’s a functional, lightweight baselayer, perfect for layering or for winter running. The neck is generous, but not too high — perfect for wearing scrunched (rather than folded as in the photo). The sleeves are plenty long and the overall length of the shirt is more than enough to tuck in and stayed tucked in (So no snow down the pants — but, of course, we never fall, do we?!).
Again, to enter, please leave a comment. For a second entry, please “like” WinterWomen.com on Facebook and/or follow them on Twitter.
One winner will be chosen randomly on Tuesday, October 11th at 8:00 a.m. MDT.
Good luck!

I LOVE when new looks come out! I was reading this as I walked into work and I showed it to a friend of mine and he had that look of “It’s this type of fashion that gets you excited?” Made me proud :). Can’t wait for this season!
braveskimom says
Love that story! Heels? They have their place. But ski jackets and pants, that’s real style! Cheers!
Tanya says
wow, it’s been a while since I’ve been on a ski hill apparently because my snowboard jacket and ski pants are definitely NOT stylish anymore. But oh those hot pink pants!!! I would love a pair of those.
braveskimom says
Agreed – about the pink pants! Love them! Good luck!
Maja says
I love how winter clothing has gotten more and more stylish over the years. Every year I look forward to getting a little something new to wear for the upcoming cold weather. Layering is my specialty and I’d love to get my hands on that turtleneck top.
braveskimom says
Thanks for commenting Maya! Layering is so essential! I, too, love how the colors and styles are more adventurous than ever! Good luck.

What a fun roundup!
Interesting that one trend is toward softer colors. The reason I wear a bright orange jacket is only 1/2 because I like it. The other 1/2 of the consideration is that my kids can spot me on the hill!

You make a good point! The more distinctive you look, the easier it is for them to spot you. And vice versa. How about a softer color jacket with a pair of rippin’ bright pants?
Thanks!
Beth says
Even though I won’t be skiing this year (preggers), I love the fashions!
braveskimom says
Congratulations! I have to admit, I enjoyed the two winters when I was pregnant. Expecting was a good excuse to cozy up with a book, a movie and a toddler! Enjoy every minute!
Thanks.
Beth says
I will. I hope to get my ski fix by living vicariously though you! Can’t wait to follow along this year.
braveskimom says
I hope I do a good job on your fix! If we just have a normal snow year, it will be tons of fun! Thanks so much.
MRX says
Love the platinum and champagne colors!!! Although, like another commentator, bright color is back by popular demand this year so that I can be spotted in the mountain by the fam . . . . I will moderate it with solid black or white pants. Thanks for the post. Visited last year and am glad for this year’s!
braveskimom says
Being seen by your kids is a good thing! I love those colors too! Maybe you can pair a softer color jacket with some really bright pants (or helmet!) Enjoy! And, thanks for coming back again this year. Cheers!
Ginger Morehouse says
Love the ski clothes. I always enjoy Patagonia ski wear, but really like the looks of the Bonfire Taylor Jacket.
braveskimom says
Oh, I agree. Patagonia has beautiful clothing. But, fun to see many other great bands and styles as well! Good luck!
Schmidty says
North and Patagonia – wish I could live in their winter stuff all year! Love the oinks and purples …and the style of the purple sweater you are giving away is perfect with or without. Thanks for the chance to own it!
braveskimom says
Oinks? Love it! You’re welcome and good luck!
Schmidty says
I am following WinterWomen’s facebook page as Rust Hawk.

Excellent! You are entered twice! Thanks.
Tara says
The bright colored ski pants look so fun! I’m not feeling the light shade trends. They look great in the pics all new & clean but would be very hard to spot on the slopes. Thanks for sharing all the styles!
Tara says
Lovin’ the Wonder Woman Socks! Having those on would make anyone feel more confident flying down the mountain! 🙂
braveskimom says
Aren’t those the bomb? Superpowers and all!
braveskimom says
I love the bright pants too! You’re welcome and good luck!
Michelle C says
After reading this blog I’m inspired to update my ski look – I love the bright pink pants! The wonder woman socks look much warmer than the wonder woman under-roos I wore as a toddler. I don’t wear underroos anymore, but I’m still a fan of wonder woman. 🙂
braveskimom says
Wonder Woman, not underoos! You make me laugh! Good luck! And, yes, I love those pink pants too. So cute!
Jenise says
I particularly love the bonfire taylor jacket in storm. Very cute.
I feel like this year there’s gonna be a lot more solids than patterns on outerwear.
One thing I noticed though- you didn’t cover handwear. The models in every picture wore gloves but what’s hot is actually mittens. Among the folks that actually are on the snow every single day, mittens are the most common thing you’ll see. Once you go mitten you don’t go back.
braveskimom says
Couldn’t agree more: 1) you’re right, we didn’t cover mittens. Must do that! And 2) all mittens, all the time for me! Gloves just don’t keep my fingers as warm. Thanks for the tips!
Suzi says
I’m loving the Spyder Artemis Jacket in Black/Coast/White with the matching pants!
braveskimom says
So cute! Thanks!
