Without a doubt, the most popular post at The Brave Ski Mom last season was the 2012 ski and snowboard fashion update. Even during the hottest days of summer, this post was getting hits.
So, once again this season, I’ve teamed up with WinterWomen.com to share the latest trends in ski and snowboard fashion for this upcoming winter!
Big thanks to WinterWomen.com for sharing their insights into the hottest looks on snow. All photos courtesy WinterWomen.com.
Ski Jacket Trends for 2013:
Soft and Feminine Colors (Perfect for the woman who doesn’t want a brightly colored ski jacket, but who still wants to be stylish.)
Bold Colors (These colors make a statement on the mountain, without trying too hard.)
Sporty and Athletic Styles (For the no-nonsense women who is focused on performance.)
Classic Black with a Twist (Black never goes out of style — it only gets better!)
Ski Pant Trends for 2013:
Hot Colors! (Whether your look is soft or bold, sporty or feminine…you can spice up any ski outfit with a pair of new ski pants. Also for the woman who has had the same ski jacket for the past 10 years – that fits perfectly and still keeps her warm – but she wants an updated look.)
Snowboard Jacket Trends for 2013:
Longer Lengths/Fits (Look for a longer fit, but tailored in the middle for feminine shape.)
Feminine (and Funky) Prints (Paired with solid-colored pants and a basic accessories, these jackets offer unique style without going overboard. Think unique twists to classic patterns.)
Snowboard Pant Trends for 2013
The Wildest Pants on the Mountain (‘Nuff said.)
WinterWomen.com has graciously donated a “Winner’s Choice” giveaway for this post. Leave a comment below (it would be great if you have feedback on any of this season’s styles!) and if your name is chosen in a random drawing, you will win your choice of a Snow Angel Plum Veluxe Turtleneck (size medium) or Wonder Women Snowboard Socks from Burton.
While I haven’t tried the Wonder Women socks (but don’t you love the name?), I have a Snow Angel Turtleneck.
It’s buttery smooth and soft. Made of a cozy blend of 88% micropoly and 12% spandex, it’s a functional, lightweight baselayer, perfect for layering or for winter running. The neck is generous, but not too high — perfect for wearing scrunched (rather than folded as in the photo). The sleeves are plenty long and the overall length of the shirt is more than enough to tuck in and stayed tucked in (So no snow down the pants — but, of course, we never fall, do we?!).
One winner will be chosen randomly on Tuesday, October 11th at 8:00 a.m. MDT.

To facilitate this post, I received a Snow Angel Veluxe Turtleneck to review. As always, all opinions are my own and are exactly what I would tell my family and friends.
