This is spot on! Any of the stuff I’ve collected over the years (art, gear, books, etc) ultimately end up in the garage (or better, donated to charity). But I’m still reliving experiences through memories and stories told to friends and family.

This is a fantastic article!
I agree that experiences are much more memorable than items. You can lose and buy as many items as you want, but you will never get the same experience twice.
